Healthcare Principles in Practice Series: 2020 - 2022

The University of Tennessee College of Medicine - Chattanooga sponsors an Institutional Core Curriculum Series.  Up until July 1, 2023, the series was call "Healthcare Principles in Practice Series" (HPP).  During the COVID pandemic, most sessions were shifted from in-person to being broadcast via the Zoom Platform.  Most sessions are recorded with permission from the speakers.  These activities were approved by the UTHSC CME Office for AMA Category 1 CME Credit for those attending the live session or participating in the live Zoom activity.

The purpose of the HPP Series is to augment overall Resident and Fellow Graduate Medical Education in areas that are applicable to all disciplines and specialties. These HPP sessions were usually held the 2nd Tuesday of each month (Noon - 1 pm ET) and focused on general, broad-based topics such as those relating to Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Well-Being, Professionalism, Sleep and Fatigue Mitigation, Prescribing, Substance Abuse, etc.  All Faculty, Residents, Fellows, and Students were encouraged to attend HPP sessions; however, all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year Residents and Fellows were required to attend or view the recording at a later time.  Links were emailed to Program Coordinators as soon as the recordings are uploaded to the UTHSC College of Medicine - Chattanooga YouTube Channel.
