Cayuse SP

Cayuse 424 and SP is the user-friendly electronic routing system and data base used to route all grant proposals and sponsored project agreements for UTHSC approvals.

All proposal submissions, including Letters of Intent/ Subrecipient commitment packages, preliminary application/letters of intent that require institutional signature and/or contain budgetary detail, federal grant applications and applications to foundations, must be routed in Cayuse SP for approval prior to being submitted to the sponsoring agency. UTHSC requires a minimum of five full business days for the review of proposal materials prior to any sponsor deadline.

 

All federal proposals should be prepared using the 424-module linked to the Cayuse SP unless the funding opportunity announcement or program official requires a different submission method. Cayuse 424 is accessed via Cayuse SP. OSP strongly recommends starting the Cayuse SP proposal first and then linking a 424 for federal applications.

General Information Page:

  • Completed Subrecipient Commitment form ready for institutional AOR signature (Most institutions require the use of their own Subrecipient Commitment form. If another institution indicates that their own form is not required, UTHSC's Subrecipient Commitment form can be substituted.(If prime institution is member of the Federal Demonstration Partnership - and the other institution does not request the use of a full subrecipient commitment form - UTHSC can provide a one-page Letter of Intent signed by AOR. CHECK MEMBER INSTITUTIONS). 
  • If FDP LOI can be used, please include a submission note requesting FDP LOI.
  • Statement of work for the UTHSC personnel
  • RR (or sponsor required format) budget for the subrecipient and budget justification

*NOTE: DOD "Pre-Applications" can usually be submitted by a Pl directly in eBRAP and do not require routing in Cayuse. Contact your departmental Grants Administrator/OSP with questions.
