Work Agreements
Students in the UTHSC College of Nursing Accelerated BSN program are eligible to participate in a work agreement with one of the local hospital systems. A benefit of this agreement is that the hospital system covers tuition and a portion of fees for the student if the student agrees to work for that hospital system for an agreed-upon amount of time after graduation.
Participation in the ABSN program does not guarantee the student a work agreement. The college simply connects eligible students to the participating hospital system so that the student and system can establish this contract. The hospital selects the students. Many of the college’s students have benefited from this program. More information will be shared with UTHSC College of Nursing ABSN students about this opportunity during information sessions prior to orientation.
