A native of Memphis, TN, Dr. Sherry Webb received her diploma in nursing from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Memphis, TN, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Memphis, and her Master of Science degree in Nursing with a concentrated area of study in Nursing Administration from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She obtained a DNSc with a concentrated study in nursing administration from the UT Health Science Center College of Nursing in December, 2006.
Dr. Webb has been a nurse for 52 years and has experience in acute care and home health with extensive practice in management and education. She has been a nursing educator for twenty-five years, serving on the faculty at Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, TN, University of Memphis College of Nursing, Memphis, TN, and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Memphis, TN. Dr. Webb joined the UTHSC College of Nursing in December 2005. She is the Department Chair for the Acute and Tertiary Care Department in the College of Nursing.
Dr. Webb was nominated for the Student Government Executive Council Excellence (SGAEC) in Teaching Award in 2015. She was awarded the 2014-2015 UT College of Nursing Alumni Outstanding Teacher Award and the 2012-2013 Student Government Executive Council Excellence (SGAEC) in Teaching Award.
