UTHSC Annual Compliance Training
Annual Compliance Training is a requirement for all regular faculty and staff. Employees will receive an email with detailed instructions and information on how to access K@TE and how to successfully complete each of the following required courses.
- Campus Security Authority (CSA) Training
- Code of Conduct
- FERPA
- Hazard Awareness and Workplace Safety
- Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Title IX: Mandatory Responsible Employees
- IT Security Awareness
- HIPAA Training*
Training is available in K@TE, with the exception of HIPPA.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Training
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 mandates significant changes in the legal and regulatory environments governing the provision of health benefits, the delivery and payment of healthcare services, and the security and confidentiality of individually identifiable, protected health information. This training is required for all faculty, staff and students.

Frequently Asked Questions
All regular faculty, staff, and temporary help pool employees are required to complete the annual compliance training in K@TE. This excludes consultants, special appointments, friends, and retiree hires.
To obtain a completion status report for your area please email MyBenefits@uthsc.edu and include the cost center numbers of the areas you need a status report on.
