Program Overview
Our Family Medicine Residency is a three-year program that sponsors seven residents per year. Our faculty is a diverse group with experience in rural and urban private practice, operative obstetrics, sports medicine, geriatric medicine, medical mission work, and military service. Our graduates have traversed nearly every avenue of family medicine nationwide and abroad from community practice in various settings to fellowship training, academics, as well as medical missions. We are the only Lifestyle Medicine certified residency program in Tennessee. We are initiating a Rural Track Residency for training and electives that will likely begin next year. We will provide more information on this page about how you apply for the Rural Track once we have finalized our approval and process.
ERAS and NRMP
Applicants for our seven PGY-1 positions offered for July 1, 2023, must go through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to apply to our program. We also participate in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP).
