Welcome new AFSA members!

Over the past few months AFSA has onboarded several new team members!

Introducing, the newest members of AFSA:

Tenille Holmes:

Tenille is an Admissions Operations Coordinator in the Office of Admissions. In her position Tenille facilitates continued enrollment growth, and application processing effectiveness. She processes the applications for the college of dentistry, and the college of health professions. I bring to the table relevant experience, positivity, and a firm belief in teamwork. She obtained a double major bachelor’s degree in Sociology and African, African- American Studies from the University of Memphis. Born and raised in Memphis, Tenille is passionate about helping people in any way that she can. She worked for five years with Memphis Shelby County Schools in mental health where she helped initiate outpatient mental health services for the students. Tenille loves to read and would like to own a bookstore.

Dr. Stephanie Cage:

Dr. Cage is the new Director of Faculty Affairs at UTHSC. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Higher and Adult Education, as well as a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. In her position Dr. Cage provides management and leadership for human resource functions across the faculty employee life cycle, including appointment, evaluation, promotion, tenure, awards and recognition, and the separation process. She is responsible for ensuring that faculty-related data are appropriately captured and reported for all official faculty reports and processes throughout the systems of the institution, and assists colleges and departments in strategically implementing Digital Measures. As a former university registrar, she has served in roles that required strategic planning, policy development for academic and disciplinary standards, and oversight responsibility. Having worked as an administrator and a scholar, Dr. Cage understand the demands and cultures of both. She said: "I enjoy helping people achieve their academic and professional goals. I believe we have the power to improve our world and communities through education and service. I enjoy being a part of life changing educational experiences. It is meaningful work helping others achieve their academic and professional goals"
