Faculty Affairs
What is Faculty Affairs?
The Office of Faculty Affairs is responsible for numerous processes in the faculty lifecycle. Our staff processes all faculty hiring/appointments/reappointments, verifies transcripts and degrees, monitors licensure activity at the state level, facilitates the Annual Performance and Planning Review (APPR), Promotion, Tenure, and Post-Tenure Review (PTR) processes for all faculty, maintains the Faculty Handbook, Policies, and Bylaws, and seeks to recognize and award faculty for outstanding contributions. The Office of Faculty Affairs is a core unit of the Office of Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs.
Mission
Our mission is to support faculty by facilitating the appointment/promotion/tenure process, by sponsoring faculty development programs, and by encouraging faculty mentorship.
Vision
The Office of Faculty affairs seeks to support faculty members and administrators across the various processes in academic life, thereby enhancing the success of our faculty and facilitating the growth of our academic programs, research, clinical care, and public service.
