Recognizing Takisha Mack and her team for their work in the Pre-Health Scholars Program!
The exceptional leadership demonstrated by Takisha Mack and her team through the Pre-Health Scholars Program has been recognized by faculty and staff both inside and outside AFSA. This initiative was in the hands of a remarkable leader and a team of passionate individuals. Takisha and her team accommodated PT and OT schedules, adapting the program to allowing both to participate. Takisha’s communication was consistent and clear throughout the planning process and made contributing easy on the part of all parties involved. UTHSC faulty have expressed how thankful they are to be included in the PSP program, and how the efforts of Takisha and her team made this happen for them. Her positive and inclusive atmosphere fostered the program's successful execution. The team’s genuine concern for the well-being of participants makes the environment they created one where all PSP participants feel supported, valued, and motivated to grow both academically and personally. Takisha and the PSP team have set a shining example for our entire campus community through their management and efforts in coordinating the PSP program. Together, they have shown the power of teamwork in bringing about positive change and making a lasting impact in these prospective healthcare professional students.
The Pre-health Scholars Program is one of the most important outward-facing channels for UTHSC. The program directly interacts with undergraduate students outside of UT and encourages them to continue their education by applying for any one of our many graduate programs. Having Takisha and her team making great impressions on these students, as well as facilitating smooth communications between PSP participants and UTHSC's Colleges is what it means to be a part of the Office of Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs.
Please extend your congratulations to Takisha Mack!
