Congratulations to Dr. Tom Laughner on his election to the POD Network's Core Committee

Congratulations to Dr. Tom Laughner for being elected to serve a three-year term on the POD Network's Core Committee, starting at the end of June! 

Most of the official work of the Core Committee is accomplished at the two semi-annual business meetings, whether online or in person. Additional shorter meetings may be scheduled throughout the year, as needed. Occasionally, items arise that require online Core Committee discussion or approval between meetings. Additional professional development activities are held during Core meetings and/or online at other times of the year.

In addition to meetings and online participation, Core Committee members are expected to: 

• Serve on another POD Network committee and/or SIG, as chair or Core representative

• Participate in the ongoing Core Committee DEI trainings, development, and dialogue as offered; 

• Serve in a mentoring role to new POD Network members at the annual conference and to Core members
• Read and follow the by-laws and guidelines in the Governance Manual

• Be guided by the mission, purpose, and values of the POD Network; and lead or serve on ad-hoc committees as needed to help advance priorities in the strategic plan
