Danielle Edmondson - new hire - new to AFSA, not to UTHSC!

Danielle Edmondson joined AFSA as a Faculty Affairs Coordinator on October 4, although she has been working at UTHSC since June 14, 2021. As a Faculty Affairs Coordinator, Danielle coordinates matters related to faculty and students. More specifically, this includes paperwork for incoming faculty, as well as the paperwork for retiring or terminating faculty. Danielle prides herself on having all the qualities of a great team player, including loyalty and dependability. 

Danielle moved to Memphis five years ago. Coming from a background in healthcare, she heard about UTHSC’s excellent work environment and culture. Danielle decided UTHSC was the place for her and tried to secure a position, applying multiple times. After four years, she finally received an offer for a position in the Pediatrics Department in June of last year and has been working at UTHSC since. She said, “The HR recruiter called me back in two days to offer me the position, and I was ecstatic.”

During her time so far at UTHSC, Danielle has enjoyed learning lots of new things, from meeting new people to learning about different cultures and learning new procedures. She’s passionate about her job no matter what her tasks may be, and she approaches each task with a determined attitude.
