AFSA Faculty Senate Awards

The Faculty Senate represents the faculty in the shared governance of UTHSC and recommends policies regarding educational and other objectives for the campus.

Earlier this month, multiple AFSA units and individuals were proudly recognized at the Faculty Senate’s last meeting of the 2020 academic year. These awards are noted within the context of supporting Faculty Senate operations.

Below is that list:

• Presidential Citation Award – Teaching Learning Center (TLC). Team members are Dr. Tom Laughner, Dr. Amy Hall, Devin Scott, George McNeil, and Veronica Reliford.
• Exceptional Meritorious Award – Digital Measures Team. Team members are Dr. Cindy Russell, Dr. Kristi Forman, Dr. Judith Nyabando, Megg Doolin, Jess Newman, & Lisa Zeigler.
• Certificate of Appreciation – *Office of Equity and Diversity (OED). Team members are Dr. Michael Alston, Dominique Crockett, Isabella Porcaro, Olivia Ralph, & Tiffinie Snowden.
• Certificate of Appreciation – Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs Staff.  In the immortal words of Dr. Michael Alston “That’s AFSA-lutely Every Single One of Us”!

It always means ever so much more when the work one is doing is recognized as worthy and meritorious. Congratulate yourself and each other on work well done!
