Dr. Natasha Goins, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, AG/ACNP, RNFA, joined the College of Nursing faculty June 1, 2020, as an assistant professor and coordinator of the Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program. She currently serves as an advanced practice provider for University of Tennessee Methodist Physicians in the Division of Surgical Oncology. A graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, her career began in the cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in the recovery of open-heart and hepatobiliary surgeries. Dr. Goins continued her education at Austin Peay State University where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner and at UTHSC where she earned her DNP in AG/ACNP with a RNFA Certificate. She has since specialized in caring for patients with hepatobiliary, pancreatic, gastric, and endocrine tumors and related disease processes. Dr. Goins is a member of the American Nurses Association, Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Tennessee Nurses Association, American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
