The "ARC" Facility

The University of Tennessee Chattanooga has "The ARC" Aquatic and Recreation Center located directly across from The McKenzie Arena at East 4th Street and Mable.

You can access information about this new state of the art facility either by going to www.utc.edu and clicking on "Campus Life" and "Campus Recreation" or by the direct link at:

UT faculty, staff and medical students have an opportunity to access a membership to "The ARC."   Access to The ARC is not available to visiting medical students from outside the UT system.  

This facility is a state of the art facility, which includes several options those who wish to maintain active lifestyles.  However, this membership is a fee based membership.  The basic membership for The ARC is six (6) months for $150.00.  This membership must be paid before you can access the facility.  You may contact the Campus Recreation main office, at 423.425.4123 for more membership information.   

Features of the Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC)

  • A welcoming entrance that provides for a safe and accessible experience for current students, recent alumni and ARC Members: which includes alumni, faculty and staff
  • Centralized Locker Rooms
  • One large multi-sport court that can be converted into two basketball courts, four volleyball courts, eight badminton courts or two indoor soccer courts.
  • 1,400 sq ft suite for UTC Outdoors and its programs.

•43'7" foot indoor rock climbing tower, Indoor 13 foot boulder, 13 foot indoor training wall 

  • 1/8 mile indoor track with 360 view of the UTC Community.

•14,000 sq ft of exercise space for state-of-art exercise equipment for any and all workouts.

  • Small and large aerobic rooms (for the Chattanooga Spirit Squads), martial arts and instructional rooms.
  • A relaxing Wi-Fi lobby featuring the Campus Recreation Hall of Fame which honors student successes and UTC's Recreational History.
  • Equipment check out room that meet all your indoor and outdoor recreational needs.
  • Lazy River with kayak plunge pool and 30 person bubble bench.
  • 5 lap line swim area from 4ft to 10ft depths with a 30 person hot tub.
  • 2 story high, 156 foot long water slide
  • Water basketball and water volleyball courts

Individual Dependent Pool Pass

18 years or younger. Including up to 4 dependents per member.

$60 per 6 months for up to 4 dependents. $10 each additional dependent. Campus Recreation Office in the ARC

MOC ONE - Additional Membership - Must have proof of residency with current member. 18 years or older. Limit one per member.

$75 per 6 months

Membership Notes: 

Age Requirement Policy: Minimun age of 16 to use the facility. Exception: Aqua Moc Swim Pass. Call 423.425.4123 for more information on how to obtain an Aqua Moc Swim Pass membership.
Building Card Access Policy: A valid UTC Mocs card is required in order to enter the building.
Guest Pass Policy: Only 1 guest per host. Host MUST stay with the guest for the duration of the visit. 
Personal Items Policy: Campus Recreation is not responsible for  lost or stolen items.
