michael alston 

Michael Alston, EdD, CCDP/AP
Associate Vice Chancellor for Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity
Chief Diversity Officer 

Dr. Alston’s employment within The University of Tennessee System spans 30+ years with stints at UT- Martin, UT-Knoxville, and UT Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. Michael's work experience in higher education encompasses residence life administration, student recruitment and admissions, undergraduate instruction, employee relations, student conduct administration and equity and diversity.

He is an alumnus of The University of Tennessee at Martin earning a BS in Psychology and MS in Educational Psychology and Guidance. Michael also has an earned doctorate in higher education administration from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University in addition to a professional certificate/certification in Diversity Management from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University.

Michael is a native of Brighton, Tennessee in Tipton County and graduate of Munford High School.

olivia ralph 

Olivia Ralph, JD
Senior Compliance Officer, Investigations/EEO/Title IX

Olivia Ralph serves as Senior Compliance Officer within the Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity. She joined UTHSC in March 2018. Previously, Olivia worked in human resource management for a local company and in local municipal administration.

As Compliance Officer, Olivia assists in the overall management of institutional compliance covering faculty, staff, students, medical residents and post docs in the secondary role of civil rights investigator, deputy Title IX investigator, deputy EEO coordinator, and diversity and inclusion presenter. She collaborates with University offices, governmental agencies, and advocacy groups to inform decision-making and ensure University compliance with state and federal mandates. 

Olivia is a native of Memphis. She attended the University of Memphis where she received a BA in philosophy and also earned a Juris Doctor. 


dominique crockett 

Dominique Crockett, MHA
Assurance Officer

Dominique Crockett serves as the Assurance Officer in the Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity. She joined UTHSC in September 2018. Previously, Dominique worked in governmental health administration and the nonprofit sector.

As Assurance Officer, Dominique’s duties entail providing leadership and serving as a subject matter expert for faculty and executive administrative recruitment and employment transactions in Taleo according to UTHSC search procedures, policy, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, she conducts investigations and ensures university compliance with EEO/AA, Title IX and Title VI through programming, communications, activities, training workshops, data collection, and analysis.

Originally from Illinois, Dominique attended Southern University A&M, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she received a BA in Biology. She earned her Master of Health Administration from Louisiana State University.


tiffinie snowden 

Tiffinie Snowden, MA
Associate Inclusion Officer

Tiffinie Snowden is the Associate Inclusion Officer in OIED; she joined UTHSC in June 2019. Her duties include but are not limited to: delivering educational and informational presentations, coordinating special diversity and inclusion events, creating strategic plans to engage with the campus community and periodically developing and delivering customized trainings per departmental requests.

Tiffinie obtained her BA at Wright State University in Anthropology with a certificate in Cultural Diversity in Healthcare. Originally from Cleveland, OH, she moved to Memphis to pursue her MA in Applied Anthropology with a medical concentration at the University of Memphis, which she completed in 2020. 


isabella porcaro

Isabella Porcaro, MA
Learning and Compliance Consultant

Isabella Porcaro is the Learning and Compliance Consultant for the Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity, having joined UTHSC in September of 2019. Previously, Isabella worked as a French teacher for the University of Memphis during her graduate program.

As the Learning and Compliance Consultant, Isabella is responsible for a broad array of duties, including facilitation of trainings and workshops, preparing and processing a variety of financial transactions, and inputting, managing, and interpreting data received from numerous platforms as it relates to OIED functions. Additionally, she serves as the coordinator for the Diversity Certificate Program and as committee liason for the CESA and Faculty DEI Award.

Originally from New York, Isabella attended the University of Memphis for both her BA in French Studies and her MA in Romance Languages with a French Pedagogy concentration.


Halli Drake

Halli Drake
Administrative Communication Specialist

Halli Drake is the Administrative Communication Specialist for the Office of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity. She joined UTHSC in May of 2021. Previously, Halli worked as an Administrative Assistant in the banking industry.  

As the Administrative Communication Specialist, Halli performs a variety of administrative and operational duties for OIED. This includes composing documents, reports and correspondence, relaying and resolving inquiries, scheduling meetings and trainings, performing data entry, maintaining records and supervising the training room and multipurpose room.  

Originally from Washington state, Halli received her BS in Accounting from Western Governors University. She is pursuing her MA in Public Administration from University of Colorado Denver with a Nonprofit Management concentration.
