Lichterman Award

Thomas "Tommy" Connell Lichterman, (October 14, 1944 - April 3, 1986), was a messenger at UTMG and UT Health Science Center for eleven years.

In addition to the love he gave his parents, two sisters, four brothers and his dog, Brownie, he brought love and sunshine to the lives of everyone he met and knew at UT. Known as the "Federal Express" of UT Health Science Center, Tommy refused to be limited by health problems, reaching beyond his job description in achieving excellence and was always proud of his service to UT and UTMG. His memory serves as an inspiration to all who knew him.
