Education and Training

The Department of Neurology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center is dedicated to educating, empowering, and retaining the next generation of Neurologists and Neuroscientists through rigorous academic programs and innovative teaching methods. Our talented and dedicated faculty educate medical students from preclinical courses to third year medical student’s core clerkship and graduate neuroscience students as well as post-doctoral scholars. We also offer clinical and research electives to students.

Our department has a strong history of educating the next generation neurologists through comprehensive and rigorous residency program and multiple fellowship programs (Clinical Neurophysiology, Neurocritical Care, and Vascular Neurology) in a supportive and nurturing environment.
