Unique Educational Opportunities
- Level 1 Trauma Center – Residents train at Regional One Health, a Level 1 trauma center in Memphis, providing high-volume and high-acuity exposure, including penetrating trauma cases.
- High Patient Volume – The emergency department sees a diverse and high volume of patients, providing exposure to a wide variety of cases, including rare pathologies and critically ill patients.
- Simulation Training – The program integrates high-fidelity simulation training, allowing residents to practice complex procedures and critical care scenarios in a controlled world-class environment.
- Diverse Pathology – Given the population served, residents gain experience with a broad spectrum of diseases, including tropical and travel medicine cases.
