UTCOMC Pediatrics In-person Second Look
In accordance with the APPD Recruitment guidelines, our offered in-person second look events are:
- 100% optional (your decision to participate or not will not influence your position on our rank list)
- Offered to every applicant that we interviewed
- Registration is received but held confidential until our Rank List is uploaded and certified with NRMP
- The event is held only after our Rank List is uploaded, certified and locked with NRMP so changes to the rank list cannot be made (ROL lock verification should be visible in NRMP)

Two weekends are available, but please only register for one.

UTCOMC is unable to provide complimentary housing for second look events, but has negotiated rates and discounts for a hotel near the hospital, walk-able downtown night life and adjacent to the free electric shuttle stop.
Recommended hotel is Holiday Inn Express (434 Chestnut Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402)
The Erlanger/UTCOMC preferred rate is $139+tax per night.
The discounted rate for valet parking is $15 per day.
The discounted rate for breakfast in the hotel is $15 per person.

You are free to make your own arrangements.
Hospital Parking (975 E Third Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403)
The entrance to the Erlanger Hospital Parking garage is off Central Avenue. 
Goodfellas Pizza Arcade Room (1208 King Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403)
A parking lot is adjacent to the restaurant, and parallel street parking should be
free after 6:00PM.
Registration
From the parking garage, enter the Children's Hospital on the first floor. Follow the signs to the Children's Emergency Room. An event registration desk will be just inside the Massoud Building entrance between 11:00-11:15. Look for the banner signs.
Welcome Lunch
Dress is business casual, but with comfortable shoes for walking
Enjoy some classic southern cuisine while leaders of the Children's Hospital and the Residency Program give brief remarks.
Sample Didactic Lecture
While the entire Friday lecture block is from noon-3PM, you will join the residents for the first didactic session of the day from 12-1PM.
Hospital Tour
Get to see all the areas where Pediatrics residents work and relax on the main campus.
Reception with Residents
Dress is casual (jeans are acceptable)
Join the residents at Goodfellas Pizza near the iconic Chattanooga Choo Choo for pizza and beverages.
Tour of Chattanooga Neighborhoods
This optional and casual tour of Chattanooga neighborhoods will allow you to get a sense of the area outside walkable downtown.
