Ms. Hopson joined the Pediatric Language Clinic in August of 2021 where she provides direct home-based and center-based services to families of children in Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS) who have been diagnosed with autism or are demonstrating autistic behaviors. Ms. Hopson began her social work career providing direct care, case management, and clinical therapeutic services to children placed in the custody of the state due to abuse and neglect. In 2002, she began working in early intervention, providing direct home-based services to families of children in the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS). In 2013, she began working cross-culturally in Uganda, Africa where she developed a literacy program for a school located in a slum region of the capital city. She also provided social services to pregnant women within the same region. She is passionate about helping families and children function to the best of their abilities.
