Marla Burross

Marla Burross has been with UT since 2013, as a medical billing specialist, and has been a Certified Professional Coder since 2005. Her job duties are to translate patient information into the appropriate alphanumeric codes, collect and manage payments for each individual patient account, prepare and review patient statements, and submit claims to insurance companies. She also works with coding systems, computer software to organize data and maintain databases to prepare charts and reports, and follows up on claims with insurance companies. In 2021, Marla passed the Certified Professional Biller (CPB) and the Certified E&M Auditor (CEMA) credential exams.
