Research contracts are designated for local signature. Authorized signatories are
the Vice Chancellor for Research, Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Vice
Chancellor for Finance, Operations, Chief of Staff, and the Chancellor.
Most research related contracts will be signed by the Associate Vice Chancellor for
Research, Brenda Murrell (see above contact information).
Contracts with foreign entities require review and signature by officials in the University
of Tennessee Systems Office in Knoxville and are signed by David L. Miller, Chief Financial Officer.
