The TN Population Health Consortium Distinguished Visiting Professor
Our annual Distinguished Visiting Professor lecture series was launched in 2023 with a lecture by Scott Ramsey, MD, PhD, Director of the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR) at Fred Hutch Cancer Center, University of Washington. His presentation was entitled “Beyond Healthcare: What do Health Systems Owe Their Patients?” Co-sponsored by the UTHSC Office of Research and the UTHSC Center for Cancer Research. Watch for an announcement of our next DVP lecture.
Our monthly Research Conferences are presented throughout the academic year with CME credit available to attendees.
This monthly series includes presentations of successful and sustainable pragmatic interventional designs or programs with the greatest implications for improving population health and health equity. The conferences also provide a forum for exchanging research ideas and presenting preliminary work, particularly by junior faculty, and for facilitating growth and collaboration in population health and translational research.
The series is a partnership of the Consortium, the UTHSC College of Nursing Department of Community and Population Health, and the UTHSC College of Medicine Departments of Preventive Medicine and Medicine. Research Conferences are available via Zoom or in person. If you would like to receive emails about upcoming conferences, please send your request to tnpop@uthsc.edu or follow us on Twitter (@TNPopHealth) for regular notifications as well as to access recordings of the presentations.
