Department of Pediatrics

Children's health is at the heart of everything we do. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center's Department of Pediatrics is dedicated to improving children's health and teaching the next generation of leaders in pediatrics.

We are working to train, recruit and retain researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to excellence in research, patient care, community health and teaching. In conjunction with our health partners Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to all children who need us.

We strive for knowledge and are training future leaders in pediatrics who can share their knowledge with others in their fields. In addition to growing a new generation of caregivers, we know we must develop innovative treatments to improve our most prevalent health problems.

Because of that, we are committed to solving children's health issues and eliminating disparities in our community.

We have been dedicated to children since 1911, and we look forward to the impact UTHSC will make during the next 100 years.
