Community Partners

Soulsville Charter School

With the help from Dr. Dalgo and Dee Gregory, we have partnered with the Soulsville Charter School.  With this community collaboration, we as residents host monthly interactive sessions with high school students who are interested in working in healthcare.  Our hope is to expose students to the many occupations available in the healthcare community and mentor those interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare field.

Church Health

Inside of the Crosstown building at the Church Health entranceWe have the opportunity work with MedPeds alumni and former chiefs, Drs. Missy Barnhart and Joel Finley at Church Health as our Urban MedPeds Medicine subspecialty clinic.  This clinic gives residents an opportunity to explore primary care while working with underserved populations in Memphis. Located in the Crosstown Concourse, Church Health’s mission is to provide a model for whole-person care.  In one central location at Crosstown, Church Health can provide a primary care doctor, optometrist, dietician, health coach, and a dentist (just to name a few resources) to minimize barriers to accessing care.
