Message from the Incoming Chancellor

Dear New Colleagues and Friends, 

Yesterday, The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees ratified my appointment as your new Chancellor, with an effective start date of February 7, 2022. It will be a great pleasure and privilege to serve you all.

Chancellor Schwab and I met in-person on Saturday, and we will have regular Zoom meetings in the coming weeks to bring me up to speed as we move through this transition. In the interim, I will be learning more about UTHSC and the daily operations of the campus. I know that in order to serve you well, there is inevitably a lot for me to learn over the coming weeks and months. 

I am excited to be joining the UTHSC team and I thank you for your many words of encouragement and the warm welcome that my wife, Leonie, and I have received.
