Lydia Lowe Barry has been with UT since 2017, serving within the Pediatric Language Clinic (PLC). Ms. Barry has expertise in behavior management, social-language development/intervention, family counseling and parent coaching. Currently, she provides direct home-based and center-based services for families of children within the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS) with an autism diagnosis/red flags for autism and/or general developmental delays. Her primary focus is to assist families in accomplishing the goals established for their child on the Individualized Family Service Plan. Ms. Barry entered the speech pathology field due to experience growing up with a brother diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and has a passion for helping to empower families to be successful advocates and caregivers for their children.
