Maggie Wheeler has been with UT since 2018, serving in the Pediatric Language Clinic
(PLC). Ms. Wheeler provides clinical supervision to graduate students assigned to
PLC, which serves families of children in the Tennessee Early Intervention System
(TEIS) with an autism diagnosis or red flags for autism. She has expertise in parent
training, early intervention, and family counseling. Her primary focus is to assist
families in accomplishing the goals established for their child on the Individualized
Family Service Plan (IFSP) and educating graduate students on topics related to autism
and early intervention. She has experience in the public school and private practice
settings and is passionate about helping parents smoothly transition from early intervention
into the public schools.
