Kim has been with UT since 2021. Her expertise includes evaluation and treatment of voice and upper airway disorders. She has a particular interest in head and neck cancer and alaryngeal voice restoration, including the use of artificial larynx devices, esophageal speech, and tracheoesophageal puncture. She is facilitator of a local laryngectomy support group and is a board member, editor, and column coordinator for the WebWhispers online laryngectomee rehabilitation support group. Kim is an administrator for the International Association of Laryngectomees Voice Institute and an active member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association Voice Special Interest Group.
