Description: The UT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER (UTHSC) College of Nursing invites applications for the position of a full-time non-tenure track position as BSN Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

UTHSC has educated more than 53,000 health care professionals on three campuses across the state ? Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga. The UTHSC campuses include colleges of Health Professions, Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. Patient care, professional education and research are carried out at hospitals and other clinical sites across Tennessee.

Provides leadership for the BSN and RN-BSN programs. Works with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, option coordinators, and faculty on matters of curriculum, strategic planning, and academic program development. Responsible for program oversight and compliance with policies and regulations of certifying and accrediting bodies. Prepares records/data for accreditation and annual reports; trends data for expected outcomes. Evaluates preceptor data base and clinical site data base for student experiences. Provides input on faculty annual performance evaluations. Participates in the annual budget and faculty workload assignments. Counsels students in both academic and non-academic matters. Teaches within the program as well as across programs, carrying appropriate teaching load commensurate with administrative duties.

Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited university required; licensure as a Registered Nurse with the ability to obtain a Tennessee RN license. Experience teaching within a BSN program required. Prefer academic leadership experience. Academic rank is at instructor or assistant professor level based upon academic credentials.
