Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

In 2017, benefits will be administered by Optum. In 2016, benefits were administered by Magellan. Learn more about transitioning your care.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to provide free, confidential counseling to UTHSC employees and their eligible dependents. Employees and eligible dependents who are experiencing personal or workplace problems should contact Gina Curry at 901-448-4876 or gcurry2@uthsc.edu for assistance. View the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Brochure for additional details.

Additionally, the state of Tennessee's EAP Program provides free short-term counseling and brief legal advice for regular employees who are scheduled to work at least 75% (30 hours per week) time. The spouse and dependent children of an employee in this category also qualify for the free benefit. UTHSC employees may also contact EAP directly by calling 1-855-437-3486 for assistance. View the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Mental Health and Substance Abuse Benefits Flyer for additional details.
