Prospective Students
The UTHSC Department of Physiology offers graduate training through its Molecular and Translational Physiology Track, which leads to either a Masters (MS) or a Doctorate (PhD) degree in the Biomedical Sciences Program.
Our program is designed primarily to prepare students for a research career in basic and applied physiology by supporting and promoting an academic “success-network” that propels students to transition from training in different disciplines to becoming leaders in solving global health problems.
Faculty in the Department of Physiology are dedicated teachers and researchers with a broad range of expertise in the many facets of physiology, making our department an excellent and supportive environment for graduate training.
