Promotion and Tenure

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology follows the procedure outlined in the UT Health Science Center Faculty Handbook.

In order to have a process for each faculty member go smoothly and maximizing their chances of promotion, the following steps are recommended.

1. Become familiar with requirements for promotion.
2. Convert your CV into the style recommended by UT Health Science Center.
3. During your annual performance review, tell the Chair you are ready to be considered for promotion. If they agree, notify the Chair of the P and T Committee.
4. The Chair of the P and T Committee will guide you through the process.
