Praveen Kumar Potukuchi, B.Pharm, MS, PhD
Praveen joined COCTP as a Research Data Analyst II in February 2015. Currently, he is a Research Coordinator II. Praveen has an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy (US Pharm.D. equivalent) from Utkal University, India. He earned an M.S. in Bioinformatics from OUAT, India, M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from UTHSC, Memphis, and M.S. in Pharmaceutical Evaluation and Policy from UAMS, Little Rock. He also earned his Ph. D. in the Health Policy track in the Institute of Health Outcomes and Policy Research from UTHSC, Memphis.
Praveen's research interests are centered on health outcomes, especially the investigation of associations between risk factors like AKI, cannabis use, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, other pre-dialysis risk factors, and renal outcomes.
He is responsible for managing data analysis of clinical outcomes projects in subjects with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). This involves analyzing multiple data sources using SAS. He is also responsible for training junior analysts and graduate students.
