Jun Ling (Lucy) Lu, MD, CCRP

As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Dr. Lu is managing and implementing lots of multi-center Nephrology clinical trials. She is also actively involved in outcome studies since 2009.

Dr. Lu received her medical degree in Beijing China and her Clinical Research diploma in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to her UT appointment, she had practiced in Internal Medicine and in Emergency Medicine in China.

 

As a fully Certified Clinical Research Professional, she has worked on clinical trials related to multiple therapeutic specialties over 15 years across three countries.

In past 10 years, Dr. Lu has presented many papers in the peer review journals or in the academic conferences. She was also frequently invited as a reviewer by journals.

Her major interests are:

  • Detecting risk factors in early stages of chronic kidney disease for prevention and early intervention through observational studies.
  • Optimizing the design of clinical trials.
  • Smoothing the channel between clinical and translational studies
