Diabetes Prevention Program

National Diabetes Prevention Program, Working together to prevent type 2 diabetes.

The Diabetes Prevention program is an evidence-based yearlong program for people who have prediabetes and are overweight or obese. This lifestyle change program helps participants to achieve a healthier lifestyle through diet, increased physical activity and weight loss. UT Health Sciences Health Hubs offer DPP classes free of charge. Call us at 901-448-1956 to learn more or sign up for an upcoming class. The Growing Threat of Prediabetes. 98 million American adults - more than 1 in 3 - have prediabetes. More than 8 in 10 adults with prediabetes don't know they have it.
