During her graduate studies Dr. Kuscu worked with proteins that are important for
RNAi mediated heterochromatin formation in S.pombe. Currently, she investigates non-coding
RNAs including miRNAs and tRNA fragments in patient samples including serum, plasma
and urine. This will open a new era in transplant field yielding new biomarkers to
guide transplant decisions. Additionally, she is interested in long non-coding RNAs
and gene expression in transplant patients to understand the molecular events during
transplantation.
