Graduation Checklist
- Complete the Electronic Graduation Application in Banner Self-Service. (Here are instructions to complete application)
- Be sure your name is correct on your graduation application. Name entered on the application = name printed your diploma
- Complete the Graduation Application by October 15 for December graduation
- Complete the Graduate Application by March 15 for May graduation
- Check Banner Self-Service for holds on your record. Holds on your records = no diploma or transcript
- Check Banner Self-Service to be sure that ALL grades have been posted. Missing grades will result in a hold on your account
- If you borrowed a Federal Direct Stafford or Graduate PLUS loan, you are required to complete Federal Exit Loan Counseling. To complete this requirement, you can schedule an appointment with one of our Financial Literacy Coordinators by emailing fao@uthsc.edu or visit studentloans.gov and login to your account and then follow the steps listed to complete the exit loan counseling session. Once you complete the online counseling session the financial aid office will receive the results in 7-10 days and will mark this requirement complete.
