Stacie Murphy, MBA
Stacie Murphy, MBA is a native of Memphis, TN and holds a BS in English & Creative Writing from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Memphis.
Stacie has more than 13 years of experience in higher education. She has worked with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) for nine of those years.
Currently, she is the Program Manager in the Department of Medicine, Hematology - Sickle Cell Disease at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. She serves as the financial officer and has the responsibility of managing the personnel and financial affairs of the center.
Among her previous roles, she served as the Program Coordinator under GME in the Emergency Medicine Department. In this role, she provided leadership and day-to-day management and continuity of the educational and departmental activities such as budgeting, auditing, procurement, marketing, resident benefits, compliance, and accreditation activities.
She also served in the Office of the Chancellor as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chancellor. In this role, she provided comprehensive, high-level administrative support to the Chancellor as well facilitated projects and events with university senior management and community and government partners.
