Mel is an M4 from Chattanooga, TN, originally from New York City. She attended Emory University for undergrad, where she majored in Chemistry and English, with a focus on poetry. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places and attempting recipes that are notoriously “not worth your time.”
Rob Kropp, Communications Editor
Rob is an M4 from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He went to The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga for undergrad (Go Mocs), where he majored in biology. He enjoys rock climbing, biking, sushi, and also the occasional game of chess.
Courtney O’Connor, Layout Editor
Courtney is an M3 from Nashville, TN. She attended the University of Alabama for undergrad, where she majored in biology and minored in psychology and history. After college, she spent time living and traveling throughout Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and being outside.
Elizabeth Conner, Design Editor
Elizabeth Conner is an M3 from Sevierville, TN. She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was part of the interdisciplinary College Scholars Program. She also received a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Tennessee. Before beginning medical school, she conducted clinical research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoys anything and everything related to theatre and performance, including plays, musicals, concerts, opera, and the symphony.
Robert Frederick, Associate Editor
Robert Frederick is an M3. He spent most of his childhood in Northern VA before moving to Germantown, TN in high school. He claims his creativity and interest in reading/writing hails from his older sisters, Kortney and Kayla. If he’s not doing something active, such as tennis, basketball, biking, or running. You can find him listening (audiobooks!) or reading about his favorite topics which include memoirs of influential leaders and topical non-fiction.
Vidushi Sinha, Associate Editor, Athena Forum Leader
Vidushi Sinha, M2, moved from India to Germantown, TN at a young age. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she majored in Psychology and realized her love for interdisciplinary studies, including art therapy and neurolinguistics. Vidushi is always looking for an excuse to travel and she studied abroad in both Spain and England. She can otherwise be found cooking, painting, or dancing.
Matt Scott, Associate Editor
Matt Scott is an M4. He is a native East Tennesseean and attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. There, he earned his B.S. in Biology and Modern Foreign Language and Literature with concentrations in Microbiology and Hispanic Studies. A proud adopted-Memphian, he enjoys hiking, cooking, and exploring his community with his wife, Beth, and two dogs.
