Services

Investigators with approved protocols have access to our on-site research laboratory. Our research personnel have experience in various drug and device trials including Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, Phase IV, observational, post market, sponsor-investigator initiated, investigator initiated, and government sponsored trials. 

Services include:

  • Individualized fee-based research services for the development, set-up, initiation, quality control, financial management, and closeout of clinical research trials.
  • Contractual clinical research services at any physician’s clinic within easy driving distance from our unit.
  • Research Nurse Coordinator support to facilitate site management of day-to-day implementation of clinical trials.
  • Budget preparation and contract negotiations (CDA, CTA, and amendment processing).
  • Guidance in regulatory compliance issues and adherence to federal regulations, IRB submissions, and assistance completing and managing regulatory documents.
  • Coordination of site qualification visits, site initiation visit, and monitor visits for all new clinical trials.
  • Guidance in registering trials on ClinicalTrials.gov.
  • Collection, processing, and storage of blood and blood products (serum, plasma)
  • Packaging and delivery to off-site CLIA-approved laboratories for analysis
  • Short-term specimen storage at -20°C or -80°C
  • Real-time blood glucose analysis
  • Urine testing for pregnancy status, hematuria, and pH levels
  • 24-hour urine specimen collection, measurement, and aliquoting (stored on-site or sent off-site)
  • Saliva sample and culture swab collection and storage
  • Dedicated pharmacy area for double-blind reconstitution investigational product.

CRC policy requires urine pregnancy testing for all females of childbearing age prior to DEXA scans and certain other procedures.

Nutrition Services

  • Develop and implement meal plans specific to research protocols 
  • Diet instruction, education and counseling
  • Dietary data collection such as diet history, diet recalls and food frequency questionnaires
