The CHSI is dedicated to helping people in the Mid-South live healthier lives. All of our studies are pragmatic; they are designed to lead to sustainable improvements in care delivery and health outcomes. To that end, the Mid-South’s Diabetes Wellness and Prevention Coalition supports disseminating, sustaining, and scaling up research-proven interventions to serve more people in our community.  CHSI Faculty have brought in over $5.3 million and CHSI Affiliated Faculty have brought in over $10.3 million in the last five years in peer-reviewed research funding. Our research engages patients, community leaders, providers, and healthcare systems as key research partners. CHSI research focuses on improving health care delivery and outcomes for everyone in the Mid-South. Our faculty’s research appears in many top ranked, peer-reviewed medical and health promotion journals, including JAMA, Journal of the American Public Health Association, Journal of General Internal Medicine, and Annals of Internal Medicine. The CHSI seeks to share best practices in how to improve care delivery and health outcomes with people to transform care around the world.
