Our Cardiovascular Diseases Division is committed to outstanding education and training, innovations in research and therapeutics, as well as excellence in clinical care. We seek to provide exceptional training in patient-centered care that is supported by a comprehensive understanding of pathophysiology and the best available science. Our basic, translational and clinical researchers aim to discover and implement new approaches for treating and preventing disease. Our cardiologists provide superb, advanced clinical care to patients with the full spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, in a variety of emergent and out-patient venues.
Dr. Ibebuogu Assumes Interim Chief of Cardiology Role
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Uzoma Ibebuogu has been appointed as the Interim Chief of Cardiology. Dr. Ibebuogu brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, having built a distinguished career in interventional cardiology, research, and academic leadership. With extensive clinical experience, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of cardiovascular care, both in his practice and through his commitment to patient-centered outcomes. Dr. Ibebuogu’s leadership will continue to elevate the division of Cardiology, ensuring excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Dr. Ibebuogu has been an integral part of the academic and clinical community, holding numerous leadership roles throughout his career, and is widely recognized for his innovative approaches to interventional cardiology. As he steps into this interim position, his focus will be on fostering collaboration within the department, advancing cutting-edge research initiatives, and strengthening educational programs for the next generation of cardiologists. We look forward to seeing the division of Cardiology continue to grow under Dr. Ibebuogu’s leadership.
