SASSI facilitates and supports the promotion of a culturally diverse and nondiscriminatory campus community, while advocating the importance of inclusion and respect for all students, faculty and staff.
SASSI strives to foster a welcoming environment conducive to teaching and learning while supporting students, faculty and staff. SASSI supports and assists all students with disabilities and students that deal with issues and challenges involving race and ethnicity, gender and sexual preference, faith, place of origin, life experience, economic conditions and students who are victims of domestic violence, veterans, under-represented and/or any student seeking safety and support on campus. Awareness of these issues and challenges are implemented through the SASSI department to educate the university.
