What You Can Do in the New IRB Module

The IRB module supports a full range of activities for both Principal Investigators (PIs) and Study Teams, as well as Administrative and Review Staff. • Respond to Modifications Required

These features allow study teams to efficiently initiate new submissions, complete pre-review steps, and respond to feedback- all within one integrated platform.

Administrative & Reviewer Activities

Administrative users and IRB reviewers can complete the full IRB review lifecycle, including:

  • Review a Submission- Pre-Review
  • Request Clarification- Pre-Review
  • Assign Ancillary Reviewers
  • Submit an Ancillary Review
  • Override an Ancillary Review

DASH Research COI Integration
To maintain compliance, the module includes real-time integration DASH Research COI:

  • Investigators and study personnel must have an active COI certification to submit or be listed on IRB applications.
  • The system automatically checks COI status.
  • Users will be prompted to complete or update their certification when needed.

Next Steps and Support

Beginning at go-live, all IRB-related tasks- including submissions, reviews, and document finalization- will be accessible directly through DASH Research.

Additional guidance, training materials, and support resources are available on the DASH Research IRB SharePoint site to help ensure a smooth transition.
