Interstitial Lung Disease and Sarcoidosis Program

A multidisciplinary Interstitial Lung Disease and Sarcoidosis clinic and conference started at Methodist University Hospital in January 2016.

The aim of the clinic is to provide comprehensive care for patients with Interstitial Lung Disease at one location. Pulmonology, Radiology, Pathology, Thoracic Surgery, Rheumatology, and Cardiology physicians participate in the multidisciplinary conference and provide expert opinion for the care of these patients.

This conference is a great venue for physicians to discuss state of the art pertinent topics and serves as an educational forum for house staff in these various disciplines.

CME Conference: Updates in Pulmonary Medicine

Division of Pulmonary Critical Care recently conducted a CME titled “Updates in Pulmonary Medicine.” This CME was designed as an update and review in a variety of areas related to pulmonary medicine that practitioners may encounter with patients in a primary care and inpatient setting.

Evidence-based lectures were delivered by academically and clinically oriented faculty and provided valuable information and insight into situations that are commonly encountered by the primary care physician and hospitalist physician.

This conference intended to enhance knowledge and improve competency for internal medicine clinicians — both primary care and hospitalists — nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals who are involved in diagnosing, treating, and preventing pulmonary diseases in the general patient population.

This was very well received and was attended.  Photos
