Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship

The Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee, is among the strongest and most well-balanced training opportunities in the nation. With its affiliation with Fertility Associates of Memphis (FAM), a private practice, the fellowship’s goal is train the next generation of specialists in REI in fertility management, minimally-invasive surgery, and research.

Fertility Associates of Memphis, an IVY Fertility Center, has been dedicated to teaching and training the next generation of Reproductive Endocrinologists since its founding in 2003. As a teaching arm of University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s Department of OBGYN, our highly specialized team of board-certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility doctors, Dr. William Kutteh, Dr. Raymond Ke, Dr. Paul Brezina, and Dr. Amelia Bailey, utilize cutting-edge techniques including in-vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), laser blastocyst biopsy, preimplantation genetic diagnosis and fertility preservation.  In addition, Dr. Todd Chappell, board-certified in general OB/GYN, leads our complex surgery program, ensuring that our practice can offer the breadth of medical services necessary to treat the vast majority of patients. We are the only Fertility Center in West Tennessee and serve patients from Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri.  Our physicians and staff serve as mentors to residents who rotate through our clinic and surgical suites from both UTHSC and Baptist Women’s Hospital. Our Fellowship program offers a comprehensive approach to reproductive disorders with fellows becoming expert at IVF, IUI, surgery, laboratory sciences, research, and fertility preservation. In conjunction with UTHSC we offer clinical research training and preparation for a career in academic medicine or private practice. 

Dr. Janchi Ding, PhD, HCLD laboratory director, has been named as a top embryologist by Donor Egg Bank USA for several years in a row. Fertility Associates of Memphis has been named in the Top 10% of Fertility Centers in America by Newsweek Magazine. Our group includes three HCLD-certified laboratory directors and three surgeons certified in MIGS. Our physicians regularly participate as Faculty in national meetings, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and are well-respected in the Reproductive Endocrinology community.
