Clinical Sites
Fertility Associates of Memphis (FAM) is the clinical site for patient visits, sonograms, HSG, SHG, and andrology services including semen analysis, sperm cryopreservation, and IVF sperm preps take place. Fellows will participate in didactic sessions at FAM, BWH, and UTHSC.
East Memphis Surgery Center (EMSC) is the outpatient surgery center for laparoscopies and hysteroscopies in the same building as FAM clinic. It is also the location where the IVF lab, oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, and operating rooms are located. Laparotomies can be performed, if necessary, but this is uncommon. It is open Monday to Friday during normal hours.
Methodist Surgery Center Germantown (MSCG) is a second outpatient surgery center for laparoscopies and hysteroscopies. Laparotomies can be performed, if necessary, but this is uncommon. It is open Monday to Friday during normal hours.
Baptist Women’s Hospital (BWH) is another site which is adjacent to our office and IVF lab for any emergency 24/7 services. Laparotomies and robotic procedures are performed here. One of the five Ob Gyn residents rotates with us throughout the year. Any emergent clinical issues will be directed to this facility. It has blood bank services, full laboratory services, facilities to perform computed axial tomography, bone densitometry, magnetic resonance imaging as well as imaging services, intensive care units, and operating rooms staffed 24/7 for emergency procedures.
Regional One Health (ROH) is the clinical health care system associated with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC). One of the nine Ob Gyn residents rotates with us throughout the year. The REI Clinic at ROH meets twice a month and provides the fellow an opportunity to develop their own practice with supervision by a board-certified REI physician. Fellows will participate in and receive a certificate of completion of the Graduate Research Training Program through UTHSC.
