Weekly Sessions

MFM didactics and Department sessions
Tuesday AMs are dedicated educational time for fellow and resident education. For the MFM fellows, this time block includes faculty-led didactic lectures and journal club. Fellows also participate in the Departmental M&M Conference and Grand Rounds. The fellows lead the electronic fetal monitoring review session with the residents as well and participate in resident journal club and Practice Bulletin Review.

Congenital anomalies conference
Each Wednesday AM, a joint conference is held with Neonatology to discuss topics or cases from the Congenital Anomalies Clinic (with other subspecialties, as needed). Fellows participate and often lead these discussions.

Fellow didactics
Each Friday afternoon, a time is reserved for a faculty-led topic discussion or Practice Bulletin review.

MOMs conference
A Friday morning ‘Multidisciplinary Obstetric Medicine and Surgery conference (MOMS)’ is held if needed to discuss the planning for the care of a highly complicated patient. This conference includes up to 28 subspecialties.
