BME Academic Calendar
Because of the "joint" nature of the Biomedical Engineering program, there might be some confusions over the schedules and deadlines. The following explanations should help the students to understand the schedules and deadlines better:
UTHSC Policy
Apply at least two months earlier for full financial consideration. View the UTHSC Application Deadlines page for details.
UM Policy
Apply at least two months earlier for full financial consideration. View the University of Memphis Application Deadlines page for details.
UTHSC Policy
Required (at least two months before the beginning of the semester).
UM Policy
An advising session is held usually two months before the beginning of the new semester.
UT Policy
Submission of a signed fee sheet is required for all UT students. The deadline is the last day of early registration. A $75.00 late fee is charged if the charges are overdue.
UM Policy
Tuition and Fees must be paid prior to beginning of the semester or a $100.00 late fee is charged.
Both Campuses
Classes start based on the University of Memphis Academic Year Calendar.
Non-BME UTHSC Classes
Non-BME UT classes follow the UTHSC Academic Calendar.
Both Campuses
Adding a course, dropping a course, and withdrawing from a course are determined by the University of Memphis Academic Year Calendar.

BME Course Exams (Both Campuses)
The exam dates for BME courses are determined by the University of Memphis Academic Year Calendar.
Non-BME Courses at UT
The exam dates for non-BME courses at UT are based on UTHSC Academic Calendar.
The joint program respects the holidays recognized by both campuses. However the graduate students are required to comply with the vacation regulations of their respective campuses as well as their research labs.
